Wine Quality
At Great Stone Wines we take pride in our skills and capabilities as viticulturalist, winemakers and above all wine consumers. We will not produce a wine that our staff cannot take personal pride and satisfaction in sharing with the friends, families and peers. When you consider that our peers are leading entities in the Australian wine industry this is a pretty tall order.
"Quality and consistency are a benchmark for all the wines produced by Great Stone Wines and the Koala Blue range is no exception.
The building block of Koala Blue wines is high quality grapes grown in our own Limestone coast vineyards. Our winemakers work side by side with the vineyard managers to ensure that grapes are grown to the highest standard and each vintage produces quality consistent with the best of the previous vintage.
Our wine making panel, using their knowledge of the wine styles from the key growing regions of South Eastern Australia blend in wine to produce the style and quality that typifies the Koala Blue style. Our winemakers work in partnership with our partner vineyards to capture the full-fruit characters of the grapes.
The result is wine that is "all Australian" characterized by their "un-cluttered", fruit dominant bouquets, and fresh, clean palate structures. These wines are set to deliver high quality at an everyday, affordable price.
Fastidious attention to detail at all levels of production including wine selection, record keeping, open communication in all stages of the production process and continuos improvement and adoption of technology to the art of good wine making, ensures only wines of the highest quality make it onto the shelf.
Industry best practice sees that the wines from Great Stone Wines can be enjoyed by you, safe in the knowledge that our winemaker has overseen the production of every bottle." |
